The front-end is based on UIkit, in our opinion the best CSS/JS framework that exists.
Build on Less, perfected for many years, it is an engineering masterpiece. Out of the box is fantastic but we extended it even further. Created a workflow we think you will adore.
For easy customization, just install Node and Yarn on your system, change desired variables, compile, and you have brand new CSS stylesheets that follow your design preferences.
But if that's not enough for you, every element is easily customizable, and we left many code examples to help you out in further modification.

Want to add a new block to Layout Builder? Only three files need to be added to achieve this. Just follow the documentation provided with the theme and you are already there. Customizing existing blocks is even easier.
Because Zero One is a theme made as a plugin, you can override every plugin file with the same name and file in the site/theme folder. But it must be in the same folder structure as in the plugin. Learn more about it.
So you can copy a file from the site/plugins/zero-one plugin, to the relative folder inside site/theme/ folder, change it, extend it, and safely update Zero One to new versions without worry. Your changes will stay untouched. Like a WordPress child theme, but more powerful.
